Roller’s Top 3 Projects of 2015 – Buddy
2015 is coming to a close, and we don’t know about you, but we’ve had a great time.
With more company growth and a plethora of new clients and projects, we thought we’d take a look back at 2015, and give you in in-depth look at our top 3 projects of the year.
Coming in at number 3 was E-Sign, a project we all thoroughly enjoyed, and coming in at number 2 is (drumroll please)…
Buddy is a project entirely of our own for the mHealth market.
What we wanted
We created Buddy as an app for those suffering with anxiety.
After previous work within the mHealth industry and with a personal interest in the area, we started to design and develop a supportive app for those suffering with various types of anxiety.
Unlike most mHealth apps we wanted Buddy to be there for support, rather than acting as a progress tracker or goal keeper, we saw it having a firm focus on health management.
Buddy is currently in development at our HQ in Nottingham.
What we created
As we mentioned before, Buddy would be all about focussing on present situations and future improvements for its users, rather than tracking progress.
During the first time using the app users will be presented with a quiz which will determine which type of anxiety the user is currently suffering from, and also allowing the app the then tailor its content to the users type.
After the quiz the app would provide hints for that specific anxiety type and become a more personalised experience.
Users would be able to create and set goals to boost their confidence, play games to relieve stress and join the social forums where other users will converse about their condition and post any particularly good days or inspiring events.
The finished product
The app is being created natively on both iOS and Android to ensure the app runs at its optimum capacity, with native features being used to their full advantage on both platforms.
Buddy is currently still in development at Roller and we’re hoping to get it out to the market in due course.
