What We Offer
If there's one thing we do really well, it's building mobile apps.
Whether it's for e-Commerce, mHealth or business, we can develop an app for that.

Recent App Case Studies
After previously working together on Upbeat, Happy Vault saw us team up again with the Leeds & York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Realising the potential of mobile as a platform to engage with children and young people, we’re working with Leeds to design and develop an app targeted at young people suffering from anxiety and depression.
SSC were looking to build upon their digital brand and mobile strategy, so we proposed a mobile educational tool for those with hearing difficulties. The proposed app would feature all current BSL (British Sign Language) curriculum, and act as a reference tool for pupils.
Duo is a project entirely of our own, created with the aim to be adaptable to our clients project requirements. The purpose of Duo would be to allow clients to create their app with our pre-designed and developed Duo features, choosing what aspects they want to go into their app. Offering a quicker, and potentially cheaper way to optimise an mHealth focussed digital strategy.
Developed with the women’s rights and international development charity Womankind Worldwide, Suffragette Roulette is a game which aims to shed light on women in politics and the hardships they face. Based on the Suffragette’s original Pank-a-Squith board game, the app was to be released on International Women’s Day, as part of Womankind Worldwide’s celebrations.
The Yorkshire Centre for Eating Disorders within Leeds & York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust recognised that eating disorders – much like other long-term and chronic conditions – required an innovative approach to patient care and self-management outside a clinical environment. With this in mind they approached us to develop a mobile app to meet these needs.
Buddy is a project entirely of our own, and is currently being designed and developed at Roller HQ in Nottingham. We created Buddy as an app for those suffering with anxiety, with users being able to collect goals to boost their mood, play on games, and perform exercises designed to help when feeling worried or stressed.
Climate-KIC required a mobile app for their Innovation Festival 2015. The app would be required to have 3 main functions to suit the needs of the festival goers. The app would provide users with location information, maps of the festival, a booking system, itinerary and a social aspect to view other festival and event attendees.
Solutio were looking for an app to compliment their payroll technology services. They came to Roller Agency for our wireframe design services for Phase 1 of their mobile application project. The application would need to be an extension of their comprehensive payroll and business process management solutions.
East Midlands Ambulance Service
East Midlands Ambulance Service required a custom app to provide front-line clinicians with up-to-date critical information whenever and wherever it was needed. The finished application would allow its users to navigate and search information contained within the app, access resources at all times from remote locations, and be fully branded to the specified EMAS guidelines.
East Midlands Leadership Academy
EMLA were looking for an app to primarily provide access to their coaching database, information and resources. Users would be able to view a comprehensive list of upcoming events with the ability to book onto the new events, programmes and courses. All programme updates would be linked to the existing CRM and handled through an easy to use CMS. The app would also be required to facilitate access to the NHS Leadership Academy’s Healthcare leadership model.
E-Sign approached us to develop their business into the mobile world. They wanted native apps for Android and iOS to expand their existing e-signing product, enabling users to quickly and easily use the system on the go.
Safefood were after the design and development of an independent app to sustainably support users behaviour changes, based on realistic goals. The app would need to be supported by a website with the same functionality and give the team at Safefood the ability to manage the app through a portal system.
Nottingham based florist The Flower Room commissioned us to create a marketing mobile app for iOS and Android. The app would be all about interactivity and fun, whilst being used as a marketing and promotion tool for the client.
Medway Council were needing the design and development of an app to complement their Linking the Line project. The Linking the Lines initiative would provide guided tours for five partner sites across Europe.
PET-Xi is one of the UK’s largest training providers who deliver GCSE equivalents to students through intensive motivational programmes. We were asked to design and develop their new ‘Xplosive GCSE Maths Study’ educational app for both iOS and Android.
Katie & Jane approached Roller with a strong idea of what they wanted already. They wanted an iOS mobile application that allowed the user to record all their upcoming events and see a countdown to build anticipation. Fun was the keyword in design, for both user interface and user experience. Functionality was also important – Katie & Jane wanted to be able to share, save and write notes on each event.
Rangemaster approached Roller Agency to create an iPad app to control their ovens remotely. It needed to include controls for both the oven and hob, control the clock, and most importantly, turn the oven on and off.
Hanson UK wanted an iOS and Android mobile app that allowed users to use their smartphone camera to take a photo of existing brick work and find the closest match bricks from Hanson’s range.
Premier Energy approached us to develop an Android business utility app to reduce the time for their installers and engineers to fill out important documents. Previously, items such as Gas Certificates and Health & Safety forms, which are essential for each job, created a lot of paper waste. This also meant engineers had a lot of paperwork to carry around with them, with the potential to misplace documents.
Slimming+ was to be an iOS app with the best tools, training and motivation to help its users reach their lifestyle and fitness goals. The app would help bring the Slimming+ brand to a digital audience, and encourage a lasting engagement through a mobile app.
