Premier Energy approached us to develop an Android business utility app to reduce the time for their installers and engineers to fill out important documents. Previously, items such as Gas Certificates and Health & Safety forms, which are essential for each job, created a lot of paper waste. This also meant engineers had a lot of paperwork to carry around with them, with the potential to misplace documents.

The solution was to remove the need for paper and integrate their current process into a digital platform. For this we felt it essential to spend time understanding the current process and where we could create time and cost savings for Premier Energy. A number of different staff members at Premier Energy were involved in fine tuning the functionality of the app. This ensured the solution was really user friendly and directly answered the brief.
We created a new Cloud Portal system which allowed head office staff to push jobs directly to the engineer’s Android tablets. This meant the engineers could complete the necessary forms whilst still on site. Customer’s signatures could be added to the document via the app, and all this information was pushed onto the Cloud Portal. From there the data could be collected and printed as a PDF when necessary.
This business app solution has increased productivity and reduced paper waste for Premier Energy.
