Scottish Sensory Centre (SSC) at the University of Edinburgh
SSC were looking to build upon their digital brand and mobile strategy, so we proposed a mobile educational tool for those with hearing difficulties. The proposed app would feature all current BSL (British Sign Language) curriculum, and act as a reference tool for pupils.

The app would need to adhere to the current branding of SSC, but bring the brand to a new digital audience. Content wise the app would be a glossary of terms used in the BSL learning curriculum, with content split into a range of categories including Astronomy, Geography and Maths etc. Within each content category users will be presented with various terms, which would be clickable links to videos on how to sign this particular term.
To ensure we build the app to meet all the needs of its users, we went to Edinburgh to host a focus group with potential future users of the app. This guaranteed that the app would be as engaging as possible both in content and in style.
SSC is being built natively on both iOS and Android and will be released soon.
